life is full of uncertainty, and it’s entirely beyond our control. if you’re like I used to be, then not having control is one of the hardest things for you. I’m not sure what you’re nervous about today. maybe it’s your health, maybe it’s some tests your doctor is running, maybe it's a surgery, maybe it's a job application, or perhaps it’s a college application. whatever it may be, I hope to offer you some comfort today🤍
I wanted to bring you to a story about a man who followed God through blind faith, Moses. before Moses was a prophet and teacher, he was raised in an Egyptian household. so he was raised to worship many gods and goddesses. I’m telling you this to say that he wasn’t a God-fearing, faithful servant of God all his life. he wasn’t a “perfect” Christian, yet he was chosen. Moses was called by a God he had never known, and he not only followed Him, but he prophesied for Him. Moses did not even question God when He came to Him in the burning bush, told him to go and lead his people from Egypt, or when he walked through the Red Sea. Moses had faith that God would provide, even when those around him did not.
Moses did not fear tomorrow because he knew God was on his side. because of this, Moses faced pushback, the Pharaoh, wandering in the desert, etc, yet He knew that while he was walking in these challenging times, God was going to bring him and the Hebrew people out!
sometimes, we can find it hard to walk with such faith. I mean, we have a whole book that tells us how amazing God is and how He will provide, yet we still sometimes doubt Him and take control into our own hands. let me assure you of something: nothing you can do to keep you from God’s path for your life. God will ALWAYS prevail! if you’re feeling anxious and the need for control, I have one crucial piece of advice….
OPEN YOUR BIBLE EVERY DAY, READ IT, AND PRAY! I know people say it all the time, so it’s nothing new to you, but I PROMISE once you fill yourself with the Holy Spirit, all those worries will go away. we have a direct line of contact with God, and we have to take it. hearing God after not reading your Bible for a while or never reading it can be challenging, but I assure you that once you remove the weight of your anxieties and control your thoughts, YOU WILL HEAR HIM! I’m rooting for you in whatever brings you fear of the future today🫶🏻
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.“
Matthew 6:34
