be bold

I love spending my quiet time with the Lord in my car. i consider my car my safe place. it’s my place to go when i’m overwhelmed, anxious, sad, angry, happy, pretty much every mood i’m in; my car is MY place. today, during my quiet time with God in my fav place, I was thinking…
we live in a world where being bold in our faith is not such an easy task. we’re faced with fear and scrutiny every time we share our thoughts or experiences with God.
I recently read a devotional that said “Today, we need more of the Holy Spirit. We need revival. We need better preaching from the pulpit. We need more boldness. We need Christians to share the gospel more compellingly so that the hearers will turn to the Lord and put their trust in Christ. When you and I are sent on errands by God, we may feel unworthy and unqualified, but the Lord is just looking for people who will surrender themselves to him, as Isaiah did.” The story of Isaiah, in short, is about how the king, Uzziah, dies and they are faced with change and uncertainty. God reveals Himself to Isaiah to assure him and the people that He is in control. He encouraged Isaiah to be bold and share this prophecy with everyone.
I’ll be honest with y’all, when I first started sharing my faith on social media I was scared. I was afraid of the hate that comes with sharing His word. i was afraid that I wasn’t qualified or educated enough to speak about Him. i was afraid of what other people would say about me. it was hard, knowing God called me to this and having that fear to be bold. to get over this fear I had to remind myself that God called me to this for a reason. I could be answering prayers and influencing people in more ways than I even know.
The reason i’m sharing this is to remind you to always listen to your calling. as sadie robertson says “when God calls you to something He has already considered who you are”. we are always qualified. BE BOLD. share your faith. show people how amazing His love really is. you never know who could be listening…
