spiritual exhaustion

a few days ago I read an amazing devo on spiritual exhaustion. this is something I hadn’t realized I had been struggling with until reading this. spiritual exhaustion is something I think we all experience one time or another. it’s easy to be discouraged when you don’t feel as close to God as you once were, don’t hear Him as often, or maybe you don’t feel His conviction as much. this was me. just felt distant. I realized something when reading this devo… my relationship with God is not broken

I thought that when I didn’t have as much faith or as deep of a connection with Him as I once had that He had left me or something was wrong with me. I would try and try to reconnect but it felt like i kept hitting dead ends. this couldn’t be further from the truth. God will never leave our side! He is there through the many stages of our relationship with Him as christians… the highs AND the lows! a relationship with God will never lead you to a dead end!

our faith is not always pretty! sometimes it’s super messy. sometimes we feel spiritually exhausted. the most important thing to remember is that even times of exhaustion He is still good. He is still with us. there is nothing wrong with your relationship with Him! lean on Him 🤍 make sure you save this post for whenever you’re feeling spiritually exhausted!
